Replacement Composite Front Door in Epsom

The Project – Replacing an Old Wooden Front Door

While wood products were once the most popular choice for front doors, their high maintenance requirements mean it’s difficult to keep them looking at their best and performing well. At this Surrey property, the old front door leaked and was very draughty, letting cold air and moisture into the home. Moreover, it didn’t close properly, reducing both insulation and security for the house. A replacement front door was the only solution.

Our task was to help our homeowner find a product which matched the style of their Tudor style house while providing the functionality which was lacking in the old door. Our biggest challenge was to identify an exact match between the front door glass and side window glass, coming from two different suppliers.

The Results – A Beautiful Composite Door from Solidor

Our customer selected their new front door from the ever popular Solidor range. Solidor produces some of the finest composite doors in the UK market, emulating the look and feel of wooden doors, yet are actually made from a combination of other materials. This means they’re highly functional, complement the style of any period of property and require minimal upkeep.

As you can see from the images, our customer chose a black design which blended in perfectly with the Tudor style features of their home. They selected a dual coloured option so that the product was white on the interior side of the door to match the inside of their property. We also located and supplied a specific matching glass unit for the side window which looked identical to the original. The result was a fantastic looking front door area both inside and out. What’s more, our professional in-house team installed the door within half a day, making sure everything was working beautifully.
