Full Window Replacement Project in a Surbiton Flat
When you move into your new home, the real fun starts, putting your stamp on the property while often giving it a much-needed refurbishment. Our customers – a couple in Surbiton – decided to start their renovation project in April will full replacement of all the windows in their new third floor flat.
The Project – Starting a Full Renovation Project
Our couple had just moved into their Surrey flat which needed to undergo a total renovation. They decided to start with a full window replacement project and asked us to help with the supply and installation of high quality products. Their current windows were very old, single glazed Crittall windows which were causing a lot of heat to be lost from this top floor flat.
One of the biggest challenges we faced was planning and scheduling the work. The customer needed the job completed urgently so that plastering could take place at the property. This required us to work from scaffolding which is always more difficult to work from. However, our experienced team we more than happy to take on the task, working carefully and adhering to all health and safety requirements.
The Results – A Flat Transformed
As you can see from the before and after images, we replaced the old windows with brand new Kömmerling uPVC windows, working from scaffolding attached to their third floor flat. These windows have impressive energy ratings to improve thermal insulation and also deliver one of the most secure windows on the market.
We managed to order and install the new windows within three weeks, helping to keep this couple’s renovation on track. We also overcame any problems with ease, even replacing a broken sealed unit as a matter of urgency. This was a great start to the customer’s renovation project, and they were able to continue as planned.
